This is Apple's new iPad Air: faster and AI-enabled

Apple announced on Tuesday its new iPad Air, “faster and more powerful” than previous models thanks to its M3 processor, which also allows it to be compatible with the technology company's artificial intelligence (AI), according to the company in a statement.

“With the M3 chip, Apple incorporates its advanced graphic architecture for the first time in the iPad Air and takes its incredible combination of power, energy efficiency and portability to another level,” says the company.

The new iPad Air, which will be available on March 12 in four different colors for a price of $599 for its smallest model (11 inches) and $799 for its largest version (13 inches), is almost twice as fast as the iPad Air that used an M11 chip and 3.5 times faster than the iPad Air with an A14 Bionic 2 chip, says Apple.

Bob Borchers, vice president of Product Marketing for the company, points out in the statement that the device is “designed for everyone, from college students taking notes to travelers and content creators who need to maximize their productivity from anywhere.”

According to the technology company, the M3 chip “achieves “more precise light, shadows and reflections,” as well as “extremely realistic” video game experiences.”

In addition, it is compatible with Apple Intelligence, the company's artificial intelligence (AI) system that allows users, for example, to remove elements from photographs with the “Clean” tool or find any photo or video in the image gallery by entering a brief description.

The company also announced today its Magic Keyboard, which will go on sale on March 11 for $269 for its smallest model and $319 for the largest and which includes a new row with 14 keys from which you can adjust the brightness of the screen or control the volume.
